Hi from South Australia…

Mary Wigham - JoolzJust had a go at inserting a picture – think it may be a bit big.  This is my MW todate – I hope to have a stitching day tomorrow – daughter out of the house, husband out of the house, me home alone!  Lets see how I go.

I am in awe of some of the finished Mary’s – I love the Japanese one and I also love the one that is in reds and browns.  Very effective.

Cheers – Joolz

I feel like a fraud because I’m stitching on Aida cloth! The shame! Everyone else is doing linen!

    Hiya Joolz,

I think your stitching is lovely ! I wouldn’t worry about the aida cloth, fabric is personal preference and aida is yours. There are many stitchers who prefer aida to linen and even weaves, nothing wrong with that. :) It looks to me like you are stitching with one thread? It looks very delicate and lacy , I debated using one thread with myself and in the end went with two, you have me rethinking my decision !

Looking good Joolz, will admit I’m neglecting Mary at the moment – I really liked the medallions, not as keen on the flowery bits as you need to concentrate a lot more on counting – ask me how I know!

Am hoping to get a clear day next weekend to devote to this…

Aww Frou, I know how you feel, I too am not all that fussed about the flowers, though they sure are pretty. I have to put Mary down too, I’ve got some obligation stitching I have to work on…which is a shame ’cause I really am enjoying Miss mary.
